Born in Japan, receiving PhD in the United States, and living and teaching in Australia, Yoshi Kashima conducts research on cultural dynamics – the formation, maintenance, and transformation of culture over time. Believing that language is a critical mechanism of cultural transmission, language use is one of his main interests.
