70 Chapters

November 18, 2013

Noba is growing! We're excited to announce that we've just added our 70th chapter. It's a fascinating look at how our brains interpret touch and pain sensations and the critical role in that process of things such as motivation, expectation, mood, fear and stress. The chapter "Touch & Pain" is authored by a terrific team of three, Siri Leknes and Guro Løseth from the University of Oslo, and Dan-Mikael Ellingsen from the University of Gothenburg. Give it a read a soon as you have a chance. We think you'll agree that it's great.

In the coming weeks we'll have more new chapters to offer. Check back with us soon for to see these great additions . . .

"The Biochemistry of Love" by Sue Carter Porges & Stephen Porges
"Intelligence, Mastery, and Interest" by David Lubinski
"Functions of Emotions" by David Matsumoto & Hyi Sung Hwang
"The Psychodynamic Perspective" by Robert Bornstein

Happy Reading!

A New Noba

November 18, 2013

Welcome to the improved Noba website and experience. We've received a lot of excellent feedback recently from a whole lot of enthusiastic Noba users. Many of you have expressed an interest in making Noba even easier to customize and to share. Great idea! In response, we've re-imagined how things work. Now any registered user - instructor, student or anyone - can create his or her own customized collection of chapters. Make as many "books" as you like with your own combinations of the 70+ chapters now available. What's more is that all users are now free to share their customized collections, or even individual chapters, with anyone, anywhere. Feel free to send links to great Noba content to students, classmates, friends, or anyone else who you think would find Noba a good read and a good resource.

Thanks for your great feedback. Keep the suggestions coming. With your help we look forward to making Noba an even better experience for everyone.

New Chapters & Features

September 16, 2013

The Noba website has added 40 new chapters over the past month for a current grand total of 66! We expect to add nearly 20 more before the end of the year.

We've also streamlined the process for instructors to build their own customized digital textbooks and provide access to those books to their students. We hope you like the way it works. Please let us know what you think.
